Canyon of the Eagles at Lake Buchanan

Canyon of the Eagles
This unique Texas hideaway on 940 acres attracts eagles to nest and outdoor lovers alike. The central Texas scenery is some of the most dramatic in the area overlooking Lake Buchanan
Take a hike, go fishing, kayaking, or visit the nearby winery.

Timberlake Campground, Brandon, Mississippi

Timberlake Campground
Recently stayed here when visiting friends and relatives. The sites are spacious, with full hookups, an inviting pool, a boat launch, biking trail, and great views of the Ross Barnett Reservoir. At night you can hear the crickets and frogs just outside your door. The rates are very affordable when compared to others we have stayed in over the years. The only drawback was poor/no wireless Internet. It's in Brandon and near the metro Jackson area so there are plenty of places to get connected.

Highly recommend.

Aboard the Durango & Silverton Steam Train

Recently came across some archived video. The whistle of the steam train is haunting, heralding back to a more rustic way of life. Enjoy.
