Toccoa Falls - Georgia

Toccoa Falls, one of the many beautiful waterfalls in the north Georgia mountainsLocated on the campus of Toccoa Falls College, a four-year, fully accredited Christian college, the falls are a majestic 186 feet high.

The name for the falls is derived from "Toccoah," which in the Cherokee Indian language means "beautiful."

A short path leads to the falls. The site is also where a tragic dam break in November of 1977 cost the lives of 39 people. There is no longer a dam above the falls area.
