London Home Of Benjamin Franklin Now Open -
Only Franklin Home Still Standing
Just in time for the great American statesman, philosopher, scientist and inventor's 300th birthday celebration this year, the London home of Benjamin has opened to the public. Located at 36 Craven Street, near Trafalgar Square, this was his home away from home from 1757 to 1775, and is the only original home of Benjamin Franklin's that is still standing.
While in London, Franklin worked on his writings and carried out development of his inventions, including bifocal spectacles and the lightening rod.
